The snow has spread across the countryside as gently as cotton wool. After a magnificent autumn, the Ultental turns to winter practically overnight. Advent, Christmas, New Year’s, the cold of January, the warming rays of February sunshine, the first hints of springtime in March – the Ultental’s white season is especially magnificent.
The free ski bus will take you straight to Ulten’s Schwemmalm ski area.
Schwemmalm in the Ultental Valley is a true winter paradise! With slopes ranging from 1,500 to 2,625 m, the ski area offers 27 km of perfectly groomed runs for an unforgettable skiing experience. Nestled above the village of Kuppelwies on a sunny slope, Schwemmalm guarantees excellent snow conditions for both advanced skiers and families.
The compact size of the ski resort makes it easy for parents to keep an eye on their children. In the heart of the ski area, you’ll find the ski school, a children’s ski kindergarten, and a gentle practice slope for beginners.
After carving down the slopes, cozy mountain huts invite you to relax and unwind – or you can celebrate the day with some lively après-ski fun!
The Panoramic Cross-Country Trail in Ultental leads all the way to St. Gertraud in the heart of Stelvio National Park, offering breathtaking views of the snowy landscape. With a total length of 25 kilometers, this scenic trail is one of South Tyrol’s finest and welcomes both classic cross-country skiers and skaters.
Sledding in Ultental: Zoom down the mountain on two blades, on the “Moscha” – a natural sled run!
Ice skating... that’s also a part of the wintertime fun in Ultental! The skating rink is located in Kuppelwies, close to the valley lift station for the Schwemmalm ski area.
